The Craven Regional Medical Center offers a 313-bed facility and a comprehensive range of services not often found outside larger urban areas. An outstanding medical staff of more than 200 physicians, and support staff strive to combine the best of medical care with empathy for patients. All of the major specialties are represented by the medical center's physicians and staff. Cardiac care is a focal point, including interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery. It was the first eastern North Carolina hospital to offer cardiac rehabilitation on an outpatient basis. Likewise, the medical center's oncology services lead the area in chemotherapy and radiation therapy on an inpatient or outpatient basis, including support services.
